Valditara “In elementary school we return to summary judgments.”

ROME (ITALPRESS) – The 2024/25 school year is kicking off and “It is starting with numerous novelties. I am thinking, for example, of the 4+2 reform, which is starting on an experimental basis to offer more modern technical and professional education to young people. Or the full entry of the tutor teacher and the guidance teacher. In September we will also launch a major plan for orientation. Then there is the ban on the use of cell phones, the return to the paper diary and regulations against diploma mills.” This was stated by Minister of Education and Merit Giuseppe Valditara in an interview with “La Stampa” and then spoke about the conduct grade bill approved a year ago by the govermo, but still at a standstill in the House: “The conduct reform has been approved in the Senate and in the Culture Committee in the House and has been hinged for the final vote in the House scheduled for September. So I am confident that within this month it will become law. It is first and foremost a cultural change, with conduct once again counting in the student’s schooling, the compulsory introduction of social citizenship activities, and the radical transformation of the institution of suspension, with more school and not less school,” says Valditara, who then adds, “It will also involve the introduction of summary judgments in elementary school, which are easy to understand. Parents will no longer find phrases such as ‘in the process of first acquisition’ or ‘intermediate evaluation’ but clear words such as: excellent, good, sufficient and insufficient. Taking the advice of the pedagogists we consulted, there will be no severely insufficient.”
