VENICE (ITALPRESS) – Lots of intensity but no winner: the match at the Penzo between Venezia and Lazio ended 0-0. A draw that in fact serves neither team, as the lagunari return to score points but remain far from the fourth-last place, while the biancocelesti fail to put pressure on Juventus in view of Champions League qualification. Compared to the last game, Di Francesco offers Marcandalli in place of Schingtienne, while Zerbin returns on the right; forward, Maric in place of Fila. Baroni, on the other hand, has to deal with the absences of Rovella (disqualified) and Castellanos (injured): in their place Dele-Bashiru and Noslin; in goal, space for Mandas. High rhythms from the start, with Venezia offering a very high pressure, almost full-court: the risk is to leave room for the guests’ counterattacks, as Tavares demonstrates at 4′, with Isaksen anticipated by Condè in the box. At 23′ the clearest action of the match: Zaccagni lights up for Dia, who quarrels with the ball and, all alone in front of Radu, shoots sky high with the goal mirror wide open. At 37′ Dele-Bashiru is hurt by committing a foul on Zerbin: Baroni forced to change, Belahyane comes in. The resumption opens with an unassuming shot by Isaksen. At 64′, big chance for Venezia as well: Zerbin’s free kick from the three-quarter, Maric clearly anticipates Mandas’ header but the ball goes out by a very narrow margin. The hosts take control of the situation and come close to scoring in two other situations, first with a post hit by Zerbin directly from a corner kick and then with a nice shot by Oristanio from the limit on which Mandas overcomes. Lazio tried to show itself forward with a header that was too soft and easy prey for Radu, while Venezia responded with another insistent action that ended with a shot by Zerbin deflected to the back and a shot by Yeboah blocked by Mandas. It ends, therefore, without goals: next week Venezia will play away against Atalanta, while Lazio is expected to play the big match at San Siro against Milan.- Image Photo -(ITALPRESS).
