VERONA (ITALPRESS) – The salvation challenge between Hellas Verona and Parma closes at 0-0. A few chances and a good pace in the first half, few emotions in the second half: a point each that allows the Crociati to breathe – third-last Empoli is only three points away -, a different situation as far as the Veronesi are concerned, now at 30. Zanetti’s team is just a little away from being able to definitively take themselves out of the red zone.
The match flared up after a few seconds when Mosquera hit the crossbar from a deflected position. The 3-4-1-2 thought up by Zanetti created some problems for Parma, the Ducali responded with Almqvist’s shot from the edge that ended just outside. Good chance also for Almqvist on the developments of a throw-in, but Montipò countered with an excellent intervention on the close-range header.
Little and nothing happened in the second half, the hosts struggled to build goal balls, instead Parma had the knockout blow with Camara practically at the expiration, but Montipò himself countered with an excellent intervention with his foot. The Scaligeri’s answer came with Tengstedt, who late in the game’s second half came close to scoring with a shot from the center of the box. A point each that moves the standings, in the next round Verona will take on Torino while Parma will face reigning Italian champions Inter and current leaders.
