BOLOGNA (ITALPRESS) – Verona’s feat, beating Bologna 3-2 at the end of a match in which practically everything happened. Castro’s own goal two minutes from the end was decisive, Zanetti’s team responds to Como and Parma and climbs to 18 points. Bologna remains at 28 and cashes its third defeat of the season.
The one at the “Dall’Ara” was a match with a thousand faces. Italiano sent out the usual 4-2-3-1 with Dominguez on the right and Castro the only central reference, the guests responded with Suslov on the three-quarter to support the Sarr-Tengstedt duo. After an initial study phase, the Felsinians began to build play; Castro tamed a cross from his header, then the same Dominguez, from the edge, beat Montipò with a low shot to the first post. The hosts took advantage of the moment, Pobega failing to deflect a Fabbian bank into the goal. The best chance came to Odgaard: the Dane was stopped only by the post. Despite the numerical inferiority, the Felsinei tried hard to find the overtaking goal, but Montipò intercepted no less than three direct shots towards the goal mirror. At 43′ Verona took the lead again, Castro’s deflection into his own goal on the development of a free kick from the right lane being decisive.
