SAN PAOLO (BRAZIL) (ITALPRESS) – From seventeenth position to victory. Very important points earned by the Dutchman over his opponent for the drivers’ title, Lando Norris, who despite his pole position in the morning’s qualifying was unable to do better than sixth overall, preceded by Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari and George Russell’s Mercedes. Three drivers retired, in a race that began with Lance Stroll’s Aston Martin going off the track during the formation lap, not even managing to start, as did Alexander Albon’s Williams, out due to the accident he had during qualifying. During the race, however, out were Colapinto and Sainz, in Williams and Ferrari, respectively, for impacts on the barriers, as well as the Haas of Hulkenberg, disqualified for restarting after a track exit in which stewards had eased his car back onto the road. Eighth finally was the other McLaren of Oscar Piastri, penalized for a contact during the race and closing in between the two Racing Bulls of Yuki Tsunoda, seventh, and Liam Lawson, ninth, with Lewis Hamilton in his Mercedes rounding out the top ten points.- photo Ipa Agency -(ITALPRESS).
