Viti “Few resources for sports promotion bodies in Italy”

ROME (ITALPRESS) – “Sport is an absolute value now recognized by all, sedentariness in Italy is experienced and statistically proven. How can it be fought? By changing the culture of sports and the culture of movement, that is, by including it in schools and in all contexts. Movement is doing sports, and doing sports means being at peace with your body and feeling good. So many projects are done against obesity and against sedentariness, but this activity never manages to emerge in a concrete and absolute way because there is still a culture of movement that is not rooted in the social context.” This was said by the president of ACSI (Association of Culture, Sport and Leisure), Antonino Viti, during an interview at the Rome office of Italpress. “Since 1960, that is, since we were born with the Rome Olympics, we have been growing on so many situations not only with numbers but also in quality,” Viti continued, “For 2025 there are so many projects, in March we will have the National Elective Assembly and this context however does not prevent us from thinking about the future with major National events. We have important events such as the ACSI Football League, which is the largest Italian amateur championship where 45 clubs with 900 teams and 10 thousand athletes participate, which is still ongoing.” “The national final will be played at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, we will make an important event not only of soccer, but also of culture and entertainment. And we will donate some type proceeds to non-profit organizations that have as their purpose social promotion or assistance to the most disadvantaged. Along with that we have so many events, in all sports, but we would like to give a message that is not only sports but social. In 2025 we will address the world of sustainability in 360 degrees, it is not only about the environment but also about men, women and civil society.” On the situation of sport in Italy at the cultural level, Viti says that “there is a lot of enunciation and proclamation in the interventions, but there is little consideration then when you have to go and divide the resources.
