ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The Gulf countries expressed their “profound gratitude” to King Mohammed VI for his support positions and for the clear and constant solidarity manifested by the Kingdom of Morocco in the face of recent Iranian aggression against their territories. Yesterday a ministerial meeting was held between the foreign ministers of Qatar, Oman, Bahrein, Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait with their Moroccan counterpart Nasser Bourita.
In several contacts with the leaders of the Gulf monarchies, the Moroccan ruler reiterated the “failing condemnation of Morocco for acts that have affected the sovereignty and security of these brothers countries”, reaffirming at the same time “the full support of Rabat to all legitimate measures taken to ensure the stability and security of their territories”.
King Mohammed VI also stressed that “the security and stability of the Gulf States are an integral part of Morocco’s security, highlighting the deep links of brotherhood and solidarity that unite the Kingdom to the countries of the region”. The Gulf governments welcomed these positions “as a confirmation of Morocco’s role as a reliable partner and actor committed to defending security and stability in the Arab world.”.
