Woman killed by the feds in Minneapolis, protests in different cities. Trump “Agents threatened”, governor Walz “Tragedia avoidable”

WASHINGTON (USA) (ITALPRESS) – “I don’t want anyone to shoot, but I don’t even want anyone to yell and try to invest police officers.” It is the comment of US President Donald Trump, at the shooting yesterday in Minneapolis where Renee Nicole Good, 37 years old, was killed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent (Ice), the federal agency for immigration and border security. “It was a violent situation,” Trump said in an interview with the New York Times.

A reading, that of Trump, diametrically opposed to that of the Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz who defined the “predictable and avoidable” shooting. Kristi Noem, of the DHS Department, said instead that the policeman was forced to shoot after the victim tried to invest the agents present “using his vehicle as a weapon.” The same agent, according to Noem’s statement, was taken to the hospital for treatment and subsequently resigned.

According to the mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey, the victim moved the car to leave and not to invest the agents. After the incident, two thousand officers were deployed in Minneapolis, while protests in different cities in the country, including New York. Chamber and Senate democratic leaders have already asked for an investigation to shed light on the dynamics of the facts.
