ROME (ITALPRESS) – The Women’s Volleyball Club World Cup is off to a good start for Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano and Numia Vero Volley Milano. In their respective first outings at the rainbow kermesse, which began tonight in Hangzhou, China, both the European champions from Veneto and Coach Lavarini’s Lombardy team won 3-0. Imoco Conegliano bent the Brazilians of Dentil Praia Clube, in the first match of Group B, with the partials of 25-20 25-15 25-15. Shortly before, in the first match of the tournament, valid for Group A, Vero Volley defeated the other Brazilians in the competition, namely those of Gerdau Minas, reigning South American champions, with scores of 25-17 25-22 27-25.
Tomorrow’s challenges on the second day of the tournament. At 2 a.m. Italian time commitment against the Vietnamese of LP Bank Ninh Binh for coach Santarelli’s team. At 12:30 p.m., on the other hand, Vero Volleyball will face the Chinese Tianjin Bohai Bank, a club that hosts the World Club Championship, bronze in the last edition of the event.
