ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “The fight against cancer is an absolute priority on which our commitment is strong and constant to support research, fair access to care, assistance and prevention, which is a fundamental lever. This is why we support the promotion of correct lifestyles and participation in the free oncological screening programs of the National Health Service. We have expanded the age ranges to access breast and colorectal cancer screening and work to include also lung cancer programs. As we have given a strong signal to people healed from cancer, with the law on the oncological oblivion that we have strongly supported and which was unanimously approved by Parliament. On World Cancer Day we renew this commitment with even greater strength and determination.” Thus the Minister of Health, Orazio Schillaci, on the occasion of the World Day against Cancer, which is celebrated today, 4 February.
