ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “It is a sad paradox that just as the knowledge, resources and technological potentials grow, even with relevant applications to the agricultural sector, we witness new scenarios of famine, unacceptable spectres and a regress of that multilateral system, the only paradigm that can give true answers to these needs. This is an incomprehensible and unacceptable route reversal. The multilateral institutions most directly engaged in the fight against food insecurity are valuable instruments and express awareness of the indivisibility of human destinies.” The president of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, said this, speaking in Rome at the inauguration of the Museum and Network for Food and Agriculture of the Fao.
“In order to be protagonists, citizens must be informed, knowledge remains the first engine to stimulate greater commitment, orienting energies above all of the new generations to welcome the challenges and make possible the construction of a fairer future,” added the head of the state.
“The multilateral institutions most directly engaged in the fight against food insecurity are valuable instruments and express awareness of the indivisibleness of human destinies,” concluded Mattarella.
