INDIAN WELLS (USA) (ITALPRESS) – As in Melbourne. Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina will compete in the final of the “Bnp Paribas Open”, third Wta 1000 season with a total prize pool of $9,415,715, in progress on the Californian cement of the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. In the Italian night the number one bielorussia of the world and of the board set itself for 6-3 6-4 on Linda Noskova and for the third time in four years the final.
A year ago the Sabalenka – hunting for the title number 23 in the circuit – surrendered to Mirra Andreeva, now instead will find the 26-year-old kazaka, third seeding force, which in the other semi-final folded for 7-5 6-4, in an hour and 46 minutes, Elina Svitolina, ninth series head. It will be the rematch of the last Australian Open final, won by Rybakina. The kazaka – which won the last 12 matches against a top 10 – is under 8-7 in the previous ones but had the best in the last two (before Melbourne the last act of the Wta Finals) and has already defeated Sabalenka in the final of Indian Wells in 2023.
