ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The decree defining the composition, organization and operation of the National Commission of the New Youth Games acquires the definitive understanding of the Unified Conference with the request of the Regions to provide a stable participation of its representatives in the national governance body. For the Conference of Regions it is important to ensure a constant participation within the national body, which in fact rediges the annual programming, takes care of the operation of the event and plans the financial aspects in order to improve the use of resources.
The Commission consists of four representatives of the Ministry of Education and Merit, three designated respectively by the Minister for Sport and Youth and the Minister for Disabilities, and by members of Coni, Cip and Sport and Health Spa. The contribution of the Regions to this body would complete its operation both institutionally and in coordination and programming in virtue of the competing skills in sport and school.
Law n. 41/2025 aims to promote sports training as a cognitive, formative, relational and social learning tool, as well as an integral part of the school journey, starting from primary school, and to recognize motor education and sports practice as fundamental values for inclusion, promotion of equal opportunities and expression of youth personality.
In this context, the standard promotes the broadest access of students to all sports disciplines, in compliance with individual attitudes and preferences, the objective that the Regions believe can be fully pursued only through a close and synergistic link between all subjects provided for by the standard.
