Zangrillo “The Public Administration is changing face, young people are the real innovative force”

GENOVA (ITALPRESS) – “Today’s young people are looking for workplaces that can enhance skills, talent and merit. Public administration must be one of these places: modern, innovative and able to attract the new energies of the country”. This was said by the Minister for Public Administration, Paolo Zangrillo, speaking in Genoa at the 30th edition of Guidelines. The minister recalled how public administration is becoming increasingly attractive for new generations. “With inPA we have innovative recruitment: more than 2,6 million members, more than half under 40, and procedures that today close in about 180 days against the 780 of the past. It is the concrete evidence that the Public Administration is changing its face and that young people return to consider it a credible professional choice.” The minister met the many young people during the event organized by the Department of Public Function “GenPA – Unlock your potential”, a new format designed to direct approach students and students to the professions of Public Administration.

“With GenPA we bring public administration among young people who can touch with hand what it means to work for institutions: projects, digital skills, innovation, services to citizens. It is a concrete way to show that public work is a possible way for those who want to put their talent at the service of the country,” explained Zangrillo.

During the meeting the minister recalled the strategic value of the merit: “We are introducing a career system that rewards those who achieve results. A modern public administration must recognize commitment, capacity and responsibility. This is how talent attracts and builds confidence towards institutions. The future of public administration passes by young people and I say to them: you become protagonists of change. Public administration needs your skills, your vision and your energy,” the minister concluded.
