ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The president of ENIT Alessandra Priante has been appointed co-chair of SIGA Europe, the European board of Sport Integrity Global Alliance, an international organization committed to promoting integrity, transparency and good governance in sport. The appointment, official in Lisbon as part of the Annual General Assembly, covers the mandate 2026-2030 and sees Priante, the first Italian woman to cover this assignment, alongside Sir David Richards at the head of the European Advisory Board. “I am very honored to take this assignment in SIGA Europe, a reality that places integrity, transparency and responsibility at the centre of the development of the international sports system, values that have accompanied my professional history at every stage. In an increasingly complex global context, it is essential to strengthen shared standards and governance models capable of generating trust and value for territories and communities,” said Priante. “I will make my international experience available – he added – to contribute to this path, with the aim of further strengthening the role of Europe in SIGA, which thanks to the vision and leadership of Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros has become a fundamental reference for the entire sports system.”.
“I would like to recall former Minister Franco Frattini, whose commitment was decisive in rooting the international dimension of this project and in placing Italy among the protagonists of the main world initiatives,” concluded Priante.
