Tajani Mission in China, impulse to exports and agreements for 360 million euros

PECHINO (CINA) (ITALPRESS) – The mission in China of the foreign minister, Antonio Tajani, and in particular the Shanghai stage, has recorded concrete results for the strengthening of the Italian export in the Asian market. According to Farnesina, among the main outcomes are the start of a strategy aimed at increasing the presence of Made in Italy in China, with attention to the sectors of agribusiness, mechanics and jewellery. An action plan on e-commerce has also been signed and three agreements have been finalised between Sace and Chinese partners, including two strategic agreements to support export in the industrial and wood-furnish sectors, for a total value of 360 million euros. Government support for the Italian business community in China was at the heart of the Joint Economic Commission and the Business Dialogue, co-chaired in Beijing by Minister Tajani and Trade Minister Wang Wentao, in the presence of over 50 Italian and Chinese companies. In Shanghai, the minister also led a meeting with about 70 Italian entrepreneurs and representatives of Ice, Sace, Simest and Cdp.

The mission has helped strengthen dialogue with the Chinese authorities with the aim of improving the operating conditions for Italian companies and promoting a more transparent and predictable context. Among the priority areas for the development of interchange and investment emerge the energy transition, advanced mechanics and technologies with low environmental impact. The Italian industrial presence in China is solid, with important groups active in strategic areas such as energy, steel, aeronautics, shipbuilding and agri-food. In the Suzhou area, at the gates of Shanghai, more than 100 Italian companies operate, making it the main Italian production district outside the European Union.
