TOKYO (GIAPPONE) (ITALPRESS) – A violent earthquake of magnitude 7.5 hit the north-eastern coasts of Japan, in the prefectures of Hokkaido and Iwate. According to the information provided by the Japanese weather agency, the earthquake occurred off the coast of Sanriku at a depth of 10 kilometers.
A tsunami alarm was issued, with the possibility of waves up to 3 meters in the prefecture of Iwate and alerts were also issued for the peaceful coast of Hokkaido.
