BELGRADO (SERBIA) (ITALPRESS/TANJUG) – Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic today signed the decree on the dissolution of Parliament and the decision on the convening of extraordinary parliamentary elections to be held on 25 October.
According to the agency Tanjug, the decree establishes the dissolution of the Serbian Assembly elected on 17 December 2023, and the decision was taken on the basis of the motivated motion of the Serbian government of 7 September. Vucic has announced, speaking from the seat of the Presidency in Belgrade, that the decree enters into force on the day of its publication in the Official Journal.
Vucic also signed the decision on the indiction of the elections for Members, which will be held on 25 October 2026. The terms for the conduct of electoral activities shall be determined by the date of entry into force of that provision.
