Camper Show 2026, Mazzi: “Ministero believes and invests in the open air sector” / Video

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “I could never miss this very important fair, which concerns a form of tourism that is very close to the Ministry. It is the most important trade fair in Italy and the second in Europe after Germany. It makes 107,000 visitors, makes 310 exhibitors, 600 recreational vehicles, exposed and visitable, and makes 110,000 square meters of exposure. We believe very much in the trade fair system and especially when the trade fair system in my case touches the tourist system. Then this of the open air is a form of tourism to which we believe very much, we also invested 32 million euros for over 150 projects in 169 municipalities of Italy aimed at the creation of 4.375 parking pitches, distributed evenly on the country: for 28.5% in the north, for 28.5% in the center and for 43% in the south and in the islands. Moreover, it is a form of tourism that can help us particularly in two objectives of our 4D strategy: to delocalize, decongestion, seasonalize – because the open air tourist loves to visit the places even outside the canonical seasons – and to digitize – because the foreign tourist in particular loves to plan carefully, with precision also technological his own travel experience. I always tend to be optimistic and I believe that Italy, also demonstrates the very positive numbers that have emerged today, can always improve, so we must be very welcoming in this form of tourism because the expectation, especially of foreign tourists, is high. We must arrive at a level of welcome like that of some areas of Europe, I think of Northern Europe, where they are welcomed with great attention and care. It must surely be denied that this type of tourism is not expensive because people who use campers and caravans, in addition to possessing very sophisticated means and of great economic value, bring wealth in our country”. Thus the Minister of Tourism Gianmarco Mazzi at the press point in the margin of the Salone del Camper 2026 in Parma.
