MILAN (ITALPRESS) – “At this time of great pain and deep sadness I apologize to the Pamela family.” These are the words spoken today in the courtroom by Gianluca Soncin, the 53-year-old entrepreneur at trial in front of the Court of Assise in Milan for the multi-aggraved murder of his partner Pamela Genini, killed with 76 collared on the evening of 14 October 2025.
In the course of brief spontaneous statements made for the first time since the beginning of the debate, the defendant spoke to the victim’s family: “From that day our lives have profoundly changed, I know that forgiveness cannot be expected,” Soncin said, sitting in the front row next to his lawyers. “I understand the weight of my actions and the memory of Pamela will remain indelible in our hearts. All I have to do is assume the consequences for the pain I have caused with a sense of responsibility,” concluded the man before sitting back.
