Italian Man Killed by Bar Owner During Attempted Lottery Ticket Theft

The confrontation took place outside the "Bar Paninoteca" at number 35, where law enforcement detained the 32-year-old Chinese bar owner

A 37-year-old Italian man, Eros Di Ronza, was fatally stabbed in a violent altercation after attempting to steal a bundle of lottery scratch cards from a bar in southern Milan. The incident occurred early in the morning on Via Giovanni da Cermenate. According to an initial police investigation, Di Ronza, who had a criminal record, broke into the bar to commit the theft but was confronted by the bar’s owner, a Chinese man, who reportedly defended himself with a pair of scissors. The injuries sustained were fatal. Authorities quickly brought the bar owner into custody for questioning.

The confrontation took place outside the “Bar Paninoteca” at number 35, where law enforcement detained the 32-year-old Chinese bar owner, along with another man of the same nationality, for further investigation. Police reports suggest that Di Ronza and an accomplice, who managed to flee, had tried to break into the establishment. Part of the bar’s shutter was found damaged, and lottery tickets were scattered on the ground, indicating the attempted robbery.

The bar owner is currently being questioned by police as the investigation continues. Authorities are working to determine the precise circumstances of the incident and whether the bar owner’s actions were in self-defense or if further charges will be pursued.
