Wine Museums between culture and territorial promotion, experts compare in Verona on October 25

VERONA (ITALPRESS) – A day of debate and sharing of best practices among top experts in the field, to draw the future of wine and its museums as a global cultural heritage. A network of exchanges and synergies, to support the realization of the International Wine Museum in Verona.
The MUVIN Wine Museum Foundation is the organizer of the second edition of the International Conference on Wine Museums, with the conference I Musei del Vino tra Cultura, Innovazione e Promozione Territoriale (Wine Museums between Culture, Innovation and Territorial Promotion), to be held Oct. 25 in the Riccardo Borghero Auditorium of the Verona Chamber of Commerce, Corso Porta Nuova 96, starting at 9:30 a.m. and continuing throughout the day.
The conference will bring together industry experts, academics and entrepreneurs to discuss the key role of wine museums and hubs in the cultural, economic and territorial landscape. A unique opportunity that will explore the synergies between tradition and innovation in the world of wine, with the aim also to focus attention on the development of Verona’s MUVIN, which is destined to become an international reference for the entire sector. During the conference, the project’s progress will be illustrated and the new branding of this next-generation cultural hub, for which an international team of architects, scientific curators and experts in museum and multimedia technologies has been fielded, will be unveiled. An analysis, conducted by the University of Verona, of the impact the new cultural center will have on the area will also be presented.
The panel of guests who will animate the day is very rich, including the Cité du Vin in Bordeaux, the UNESCO sites of the Moldovan Wineries and the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, the Brunello Temple in Montalcino, and the Peroni Beer Museum and Historical Archives. Coordinating the scientific discussions will be experts of the caliber of Steve Charters (Burgundy School of Business in Dijon), Roberta Garibaldi (University of Bergamo), and Maurizio Ugliano (University of Verona). Moderating the morning session will be journalist Mario Puliero.
The conference comes at the end of the week that sees Verona welcome and host the annual Great Wine Capitals event, which consolidates the Verona capital’s role among the world’s wine capitals. The event was financed thanks to a contribution from the Veneto Region, following the approval of a bill presented by Councilman Enrico Corsi, which authorized the regional government to contribute to the initiatives taken by the Foundation to create the International Wine Museum.
