BERN (SWITZERLAND) (ITALPRESS) – A convincing victory brings Atalanta closer to qualifying for the Champions round of 16. Atalanta overwhelmed Young Boys 6-1 thanks to the show of De Ketelaere, author of a double and three assists. Also smiling was Mateo Retegui (double), while Kolasinac and Samardzic completed the perfect evening: that of Berna is a success that launches the Nerazzurri momentarily to fourth place, waiting for the super challenges with Real Madrid and Barcelona. Nothing to do for Young Boys, still with zero points in the standings after five matches: passage to the round is now practically a mirage. Atalanta immediately got used to the Wankdorf’s synthetic pitch; after just 9 minutes Retegui found the first Champions League goal of his career thanks to De Ketelaere’s illuminating ball. Ganvoula’s equalizer in the 11th minute – which came on the development of a corner and after a reviewable intervention by Carnesecchi – was only an interlude in the Nerazzurri spectacle of the first half: in the 28th minute, again on a corner, the same De Ketelaere signed the overtaking goal with a turn that beat Von Ballmoos for the second time. The Belgian’s show went on throughout the first half, illuminating the ball for Kolasinac four minutes later, the Bosnian (returning to the field after a muscle problem) unleashed his left-footed shot for his third goal of the evening. The poker came with Retegui’s one-two, on the cross again from the former Milan man: anticipation with the tip and a turn to electrocute an immobile defense, unable to react to the offensive flurries of Gasperini’s men. The script in the resumption hardly changed, Atalanta continued to dominate the game: not even Magnin’s two changes managed to shake things up, it took De Ketelaere 11 minutes to sow panic and score the pokerissimo (thanks also to Camara’s deflection). In the final Samardzic capped the challenge with the sixth goal of the night. – Photo Ipa Agency -(ITALPRESS).
