AMSTERDAM (HOLLAND) (ITALPRESS) – Stellantis has concluded its third Student Awards program on a global scale, awarding more than 660 recent high school and college graduates, children of employees from 22 countries, a prestigious cash prize during an online ceremony. The year-long training program supports the innovative spirit of the most talented minds. This year’s nominees shared their vision of future mobility through a written report and designed examples of innovative technologies, demonstrating their creativity and ability to think outside the box. Since its inception in Italy in 1996, the program has awarded nearly 16,000 students globally with cash prizes. Stellantis President John Elkann and Xavier Chèreau, Human Resources and Heritage, celebrated the winners at this year’s ceremony. “For the past 28 years, the Student Awards have celebrated thousands of passionate students,” said Elkann. “We were pleasantly impressed with the entries submitted this year and thank our students for their valuable contributions. Stellantis continues to promote continuing education. Allocating resources to this generation of talent ensures the creativity and agility needed for a sustainable future. “Further confirming the importance of employees, in his first week as Interim Executive Committee Chairman, Elkann visited some of Stellantis’ key locations-Auburn Hills, Michigan (USA), Modena, Italy, and finally Vèlizy, France, right during the Awards ceremony. “Continuing education is the foundation of innovation and growth,” said Chèreau. “For Stellantis, the Student Awards represent a very valuable program because they allow us both to enhance the curiosity and desire to learn of the younger generation and to share their vision and expectations for future mobility.” This year, 46 percent of the award winners applied for the second award, the Sergio Marchionne Award of Excellence, which recognizes six regional winners who have demonstrated their passion for contributing to a better future. The winners of the 2024 edition of the Sergio Marchionne Award of Excellence are for China: Nathan Ren, China; for Wider Europe: Felix Regler, Germany; for India & Asia Pacific: Shraddha Murali, India; for Middle East & Africa: Adrielle Naidoo, South Africa; for North America: Grace Liu, United States; and for South America: Maria Luiza Francisco Moreira, Brazil. The six regional winners were offered the opportunity to interview for a position within Stellantis.
