BOLOGNA (ITALPRESS) – Bologna follows up its excellent performance at San Siro, beats Monza and now sees Europe. At home, Italiano’s boys overcome the Brianza team 3-1 in a comeback, thus regaining a victory that had been missing for three matches. The star performers of the day were Castro, Odgaard and Orsolini, who were able to reply to Maldini’s initial lead. The standings now smile on the Emilians, in full fight for the positions that are worth the next cups. The calendar may also help the Rossoblù who, in the next nine matches, will only challenge Lazio as the only big one. On the afternoon at the Dall’Ara, however, the first blow was beaten by Monza, capable of coldly striking a distracted Bologna at the start. Barely four minutes pass and the Emilian formation is surprised by a fast restart of the guests: Ciurria serves Maldini on the right, and the latter seals the 1-0 lead on one-on-one with Ravaglia. Bologna did not give up and put the game back on its feet already during the first half. After the initial surge of pride, in fact, the Brianzoli were repeatedly crushed in their own three-quarter. Bologna charged headlong and found the equalizer in 22′, thanks to Castro’s header. On 34′ also came the overtaking goal with Odgaard who finished a splendid choral action in the best possible way. The assists bore the signature of Orsolini and Dominguez, who were literally uncatchable on the side lanes. However, the bad news was not over for Monza, forced to deal with the forfeit of Bondo, victim of a muscle problem and forced to change. In the resumption, Bologna managed without taking any particular risks defensively. The goal that wrote the word end to the match came in 69′, when Orsolini controlled Lykogiannis’ cross and with his left pierced Turati. The latter avoided the fourth goal of the Felsinians, parrying Dallinga’s header, while in the 89th minute there was also room for the woodwork hit by De Silvestri. Performance, therefore, insufficient for Monza, too surrendering and not helped by Bocchetti’s late changes. With this success, however, Italiano’s team momentarily rises to sixth place (33 points): on Tuesday there will be a Champions League commitment against Borussia Dortmund.- photo Ipa Agency -(ITALPRESS).
