HERE’S HOW IT WENT COMO-VENEZIA
Il racconto del match
In the first minutes of the game, the two teams choose a very cautious approach, allowing themselves a study phase. At 8′ objects are thrown on the field from the Ducali’s Curva, leading to the suspension of the challenge for about a minute. At 14′ Biraghi tries directly on a free kick, but the ball is deflected into the corner by Vogliacco. On 19′ the hosts went close to the lead through Valeri, but seconds later it was Torino who scored through Eljif Elmas: the Macedonian skipped past Delprato and finished at the second post for his side’s 1-0 lead. Parma immediately tried to react by revving up the engine, but struggled to build any dangerous goal chances. Seconds before halftime the Emilians have a resounding triple chance first with Vogliacco and Bonny, who are stopped on the goal line by Milinkovic-Savic and Adams, and then with Cancellieri who hits the crossbar. They go to rest on a 0-1 scoreline.
In the second half, coach Cristian Chivu tried to shake up his team through substitutions that, in the space of a few minutes, bore the desired fruit. Despite the not-so-high pace, the Gialloblù team managed to find a flash with newcomer Mateo Pellegrino who, on an assist from Valeri, signed the equalizing goal. Torino initially took the blow, but after the changes made by Paolo Vanoli, they came back to push for a new lead. At 72′ Vlasic put an interesting ball into the box, Maripan’s deflection favored Che Adams, who beat Suzuki with precision. Parma poured into the opponent’s half to try to take back the contest again and succeeded in the 82nd minute again with Mateo Pellegrino who, on the development of a corner kicked by Hernani, put in the decisive touch for the equalizer. In the final, the two teams are split and try to exploit the spaces to hit the opponent, but have to settle for 2-2. By virtue of this result Parma rises to 24 points in the standings, while Torino consolidates 11th place by going to 35. In the next round, the Ducali will be engaged at the U-Power Stadium against Monza on Saturday, March 15 at 3 p.m., while the Piedmontese will host Empoli at the Olimpico Grande Torino.
