The New Minister Alessandro Giuli, who will turn 49 on September 27, hails from Rome. A seasoned journalist, he served as Deputy Director of “Il Foglio” from 2008 to 2017 before becoming co-director of the same publication. Giuli was appointed President of the MAXXI Foundation by Sangiuliano on November 23, 2022. In his youth, he founded a far-right political-cultural group called “Meridiano Zero,” which was active from 1991 to 1992 before dissolving. President Sergio Mattarella signed Giuli’s appointment decree in conjunction with Sangiuliano’s resignation.
