Few emotions at Stadium, Juve-Napoli ends 0-0

TURIN (ITALPRESS) – It ended in a goalless draw the long-awaited Serie A Week 5 match at Turin’s Allianz Stadium between Thiago Motta’s Juventus and former Antonio Conte’s Napoli. Third 0-0 in a row for the Bianconeri, who are credited with once again keeping their goal unbeaten but struggling going forward. Fourth useful result in a row for the Azzurri who, thanks to a match in which they were barricaded in defense for long stretches, remained a length ahead of the Bianconeri in the standings. Before the opening whistle, Juventus celebrated its former goalkeeper Szczesny with a plaque and a souvenir jersey for his 252 appearances. Tacconi was also in the stands. Guest sector with low attendance, given the decision by the Prefect of Turin to prevent guest fans from traveling to Turin due to previous clashes between supporters from Campania and those from Cagliari. Despite the subsequent suspension decreed by the Piedmont Regional Administrative Court because the clashes had occurred between “different contending supporters,” few showed up at the Allianz Stadium displaying a banner on which the word “shame” was written. On the field, however, first half very balanced and stingy of emotions, match closed for long stretches and very few noteworthy occasions. The most dangerous ones were of the Parthenopean brand, the first one at 29′ the daughter of a low shot from the distance by McTominay repelled by Di Gregorio and the second one in the middle of the recovery with the Juventus goalkeeper still careful to deflect into a corner a treacherous free kick from the right side by Politano on which Lukaku had covered the view of the Juventus number 29. At 10′ of the second half again Politano was dangerous with a left-handed conclusion that ended just high over the crossbar. To see Juventus’ first (and last) real conclusion, however, 26 minutes passed from the start of the second half: from a central route foray by Cambiaso the ball ended up at the feet of Koopmeiners whose right-footed shot ended up out of reach.- photo Image – (ITALPRESS).
