WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 19, 2025) – The National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) will celebrate its 50th anniversary with an exclusive Gala on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the historic Washington Hilton Hotel (1919 Connecticut Avenue, NW), a venue that has hosted some of its most memorable evenings.
Andrea Bocelli to Receive the NIAF Lifetime Achievement Award
During the event, renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli will be honored with the prestigious NIAF Lifetime Achievement Award in Entertainment, recognizing his outstanding career and his contribution to Italian culture worldwide. The Gala will also pay tribute to distinguished Italian and Italian American leaders, celebrating half a century of NIAF’s commitment to preserving and promoting Italian heritage.
The names of other honorees will be announced in the coming months.
Institutional Invitations and Special Celebrations
Following tradition, President Donald Trump and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni have been invited, reinforcing the Gala’s central role in strengthening ties between the United States and Italy.
This year, the Lazio region will be honored as Region of Honor, bringing its rich culture, cuisine, and traditions to Washington, D.C.
