ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Banca del Fucino and Fondazione Marevivo, ETS committed to the protection of the sea and its resources, announce a collaboration on the project “Let’s Redeem the Planet”, a training and dissemination initiative for students promoted by the Bank in partnership with FEduF – Foundation for Financial Education and the Savings of ABI.
In detail, for the school year 2026-27 the project – launched already from 2024 by the Fucino Bank with FEduF for secondary school students of the first degree – will be enriched by a series of educational appointments at the headquarters of Marevivo – which the Bank supports as Founder Support – in Rome and Palermo.
The aim of the initiative is to offer a path that integrates the themes of financial education and economic citizenship with those of environmental protection and the protection of the sea.
The meetings will be characterized by an interactive and participative approach. Educational moments will address topics such as the protection of marine ecosystems, circular economy, responsible resource management and the link between individual behaviour and sustainability, bringing students in direct contact with Marevivo as a frontline reality in the defense of the marine environment.
At the same time, the other financial education activities in schools promoted by the Fucino Bank with FEduF, including “Bancari for a day”, aimed at the pupils of classes IV and V of the primary school, which in the last edition, together with “Let’s sprinkle the planet”, reached altogether over 1,600 students in 19 schools of 10 Italian cities.
“Marevivo – born in 1985 as an association, today the Foundation recognized by the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security – works for the protection of the sea and natural resources through research activities, awareness campaigns and environmental education projects aimed at schools, communities and institutions across the national territory – reads in a note of Banca del Fucino -. The agreement with Marevivo consolidates the path initiated by the Bank in the field of the formation of new generations and the promotion of a culture attentive to sustainability, consistent with the values of social responsibility, attention to the territory and closeness to the communities that inspire its work for over a century”.
“Being a Bank also means questioning the impact we can generate beyond our daily activities. From here comes a path in which financial education, sustainability and social responsibility become part of the same commitment. With FEduF and Fondazione Marevivo we bring this approach to schools, because it is precisely from the new generations that can start a more mature and responsible relationship with resources, economic and natural”, explains Francesco Maiolini, CEO of Banca del Fucino.
“The Earth offers us valuable resources, but they are not unlimited, so it is essential to learn to use them with responsibility and care. Today, more than ever, we need to save the planet by protecting the environment, reducing waste and adopting virtuous behaviour. The serious climate crisis that we are going through requires us to change direction towards more sustainable lifestyles to ensure a better future for the new generations,” says Raffaella Giugni, Secretary General Marevivo.
“Financial education is today an essential lever to form more aware citizens, capable of making responsible choices for their future and for those of the communities in which they live – says Giovanna Boggio Robutti, Managing Director of FEduF – Integrating economic citizenship with the issues of environmental sustainability allows girls and boys to offer a more comprehensive view of the value of resources, savings and impact of individual behavior. This is why FEduF is pleased to contribute, together with Banca del Fucino and Fondazione Marevivo, toan educational path that combines skills, responsibility and attention to the common good.”.
