GENOVA (ITALPRESS) – The 6-year-old girl involved in the tragedy of Catanzaro is currently hospitalized in the department of Intensive Terapia del Gaslini in private prognosis. Despite the severity of the injuries reported, already at the hospital in Catanzaro the little one had been stabilized optimally. The primary objective of the Gaslini team is now the maintenance of clinical stability, to promote the maximum potential of recovery, with particular attention to the neurological aspect. On the night between Friday and Saturday the child was self-governed by mechanical ventilation and extinguished.
Since today, she is no longer sedated. The neurological picture appears promising at the moment. The transfer was managed in a regime of welfare continuity: a Gaslini team composed of a doctor and an Intensive Therapy nurse reached Catanzaro and took charge of the small directly on the spot, after collaborating with Calabrian colleagues to the management of the case already in the hours before departure.
The entire operation was made possible by a close synergy between the Ligurian and Calabrian teams and the fundamental support of the Air Force (31° Stormo), which made available a life-saving flight set up as a real intensive therapy
