Duties, Tajani “Trade war is not good for anyone”

BRUSSELS (BELGIUM) (ITALPRESS) – “A trade war in general is not good for anyone, especially for a country like ours that has with exports 40 percent of its GDP. Our interest is that there should be positive solutions and not actions and reactions in the trade field.” Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said this at a press point in Brussels. “We will work to achieve this goal, we will talk about it at the next meeting with Rubio, I invited him to Rome before the Munich summit where we will meet again and also address this issue,” he added. “The relations between the United States and Italy are always very positive, one of the main points of our foreign policy is the strengthening of transatlantic relations,” Tajani stressed. “I believe that thanks to the good relations we have with the new U.S. administration, Italy can be a bridge for all of Europe in strengthening relations with Washington.
