On the occasion of its relaunch, Fondazione Fincantieri is promoting the presentation of a five-volume publishing series, anticipated by the preview volume we are presenting today, to retrace the history of Italian shipbuilding and the role played by Fincantieri, tracing its evolution from the Unification of Italy to the present. With the help of a rich iconographic apparatus from the archives of the Fincantieri Foundation, each volume explores a significant period, starting with the formation of the post-unification shipbuilding industry, which developed by integrating military arsenals and private shipyards of local tradition.” This was stated by Lorenza Pigozzi, Group Strategic Communications Director and member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors during her speech at the Fincantieri Foundation event.
