ROME (ITALPRESS) – Following the entry into force of the New Highway Code 2024, which provides for a series of regulations aimed at increasing driving safety increase Mazda models for novice drivers. In this context, the Japanese brand strengthens its presence in this segment by adding the new Mazda2 Hybrid to the Mazda2, now available in 75-hp thermal and 90-hp Mild Hybrid engines. It also adds the new Mazda3 and CX-30 with the revamped 140-hp engine and the MX-30 crossover, in electric and R-EV versions. Prominent among the models available for new drivers are the new Mazda3 2025 and CX-30 2025, improved in performance, connectivity and comfort over previous models. Both cars are now equipped with a new 140-hp 2.5L e-Skyactiv G 2.5L engine that is more, efficient and performance-oriented. They also include Alexa voice assistant integration and an evolved and now connected navigation system. Also new is the Mazda2 Hybrid, compact and perfect for the city, renewed in 2024 in terms of safety and its line-up. Finally, we find the Mazda MX-30 in both 100% electric EV and R-EV versions with the unique Wankel power generator. With the New Highway Code 2024, the parameters for classifying vehicles that can be driven by novice drivers have been changed. Specifically, a newly licensed driver will be able to drive cars with a specific power, referred to tare, up to 75 kW/t. For electric or plug-in cars, the limit regarding specific power will be set at 65 kW/t including battery. In any case, for all cars, the maximum power allowed will be 105 kW, or 142 hp. The limits for newly licensed drivers will be valid for a period of three years from the date of obtaining a driver’s license instead of one year. The new limits are not retroactive and therefore apply to holders of driver’s licenses obtained on or after the effective date of the law. Thanks to these parameters, new drivers will have a wide choice of cars in the Mazda range, in different versions, capable of adapting to any need and lifestyle. The human-centric construction, a trademark of every Mazda, as well as the perfect driving position, allow the driver to get in tune with the car from the very first moment, so that he or she can feel that he or she has full control over it even in difficult conditions; a valuable and indispensable feature for the safety of new drivers. In addition, the intuitive technology and structure of the chassis, combined with reasoned and studied power delivery, seem to turn the car into an extension of one’s body, giving reactions that are always predictable and easily controlled. Finally, innovative material technologies lend lightness to Mazda cars, allowing a unique driving involvement that promotes easy and intuitive maneuverability even in emergency situations.
