I was happy to have had this umpteenth confirmation.” Sofia Goggia is beaming on her return to Italy after her Super-G win and second place in the downhill in Beaver Creek. “I think I’ve given, that’s enough now,” she added, “I think I’ve had so many operations in my career, the longer you go the more an injury can weigh you down, but we did it again this time. I had hated that ‘I will get up again’ when we made the announcement on Feb. 5, but I had to think again.” The Pyeongchang Olympic champion then admits that “I was coming a little bit light-headed to these races, despite this start I would like to stay on those waves, with that mood. I think it’s a right choice, emotional, maybe the most fruitful for the races to come. There are still many situations on the snow where I have to adapt, we will try to continue with our work, with the right progression and giving quality training.
