ROME (ITALPRESS) – “It has been a very positive year, but I would broaden the discourse because this is the year of the conclusion of the Olympic cycle. An Olympic cycle that was negatively characterized by the pandemic, but instead represented a doubling of all activity for us thanks to the fact that sports activity was the only activity allowed outside. The year 2024 crowned this positive cycle with a doubling of sports clubs and a considerable increase in members and affiliates.” This was said by Felice Buglione, president of the Italian Federation of Hunting Sports Arms Disciplines, in an interview with Italpress on the sidelines of the 2024 Golden Collars. “This federation will characterize itself for the future as a federation of sporting cynophilia,” the Fidasc number one continued, “We started about 20 years ago only with hunting dogs, now we cover cynophilia at 360 degrees with all the other specialties, which are twenty-two. This does not detract from the fact that shooting has also made great strides, we started with firearms and now with other simpler, more social disciplines that can be practiced by young people even at a low age i.e., from 10 years old and up. We are in very good shape.” Buglione also emphasizes international activity: “It is more and more qualified, we participate in all the World Championships of the various specialties, European Championships, and Grand Prix. The last World Championship, in America, stood at 2300 competitors.” Looking ahead to 2025, Buglione makes an appeal to the components that govern Italian sport: “We have as a point of reference Coni, Sport and Health, with the last government we had the novelty of having a minister for sport, and then there is the department. Our federation would like a message of simplicity to come from these realities instead of a constant increase in bureaucracy that does not help sports. Let’s simplify the sporting activity and sport will definitely gain and, as a result, it will also be good for our federation,” he concluded.- photo Italpress -(ITALPRESS)
