MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Everything was easy for Simone Inzaghi’s Inter: the Nerazzurri won 2-0 against Udinese and snatched the pass to the quarterfinals where they will challenge Lazio. The goals of Arnautovic and Asllani were decisive, the Bianconeri – after a good start – failed to trouble the hosts, thus ends the path in the Coppa Italia for the Friulians after having eliminated Avellino and Salernitana. Inzaghi rested the starters by sending out an experimental Inter and the attacking pair formed by Taremi and Arnautovic. Udinese responded with an identical module, with Lucca as the only forward and former Sanchez in support. The first dangerous action came from Ekkelenkamp; the Udinese midfielder’s shot ended just wide. At 5′ Arnautovic won a penalty kick for a hand foul by Kabasele, but after a Var review Massimi changed the decision by canceling the penalty. The first goal of the evening came in 30′ with the same Arnautovic, after a mistake by Ekkelenkamp the Austrian – served by Taremi – beat Piana with a diagonal shot at the opposite post. At 41′ the match was interrupted due to an illness of a spectator at the first blue ring: when play resumed Asllani, directly from a corner kick, found the 2-0 goal. In the resumption, the black-and-whites failed to create any dangers, not even the changes made by Runjaic gave a jolt: the first ringing was by Abankwah, the conclusion, however, ended just wide. A minute later Taremi, launched by Lautaro, hit the post. The only dangerous shot came from Touré, but Martinez deflected the ball into a corner kick. Both teams will return to the pitch on Monday 23 to face the 17th round of Serie A: the Bianconeri will take on Fiorentina while the Nerazzurri will welcome Como.- Image Photo -(ITALPRESS).
