Job, Giorgetti “Predict a tax system for young people”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “The support for the new generations, the valorisation of their work and the creation of conditions favourable to their stay in Italy, are one of the fundamental directors of the action of government: we are aware of the need to continue in this path, with particular attention to those who are in the initial stages of the working and professional path”. So the Minister of Economy Giancarlo Giorgetti, during the question time at the Chamber. “One of the possible particularly attractive measures in the cost-benefit ratio is the provision of a reduced tax system, in relation to wage increases recognised by employers for young people under a certain age,” he added.

“These are hypotheses that I intend to submit to the political table, since the entry and permanence of young people in the labour market is not only due to tax concessions, but requires the adoption of adequate pay policies by enterprises. Many of the tax measures taken over the last decade have had the function of compensating for a particularly weak wage dynamic,” explained Giorgetti.
