MILANO (ITALPRESS) – On 20 September, from 14.30, the project “Units dal Calcio – Kick & Unite” will stop in Milan, at the Selinunte Stadium, in the pedestrian area of the former municipal market in the area Piazza Selinunte. The initiative, sponsored by the Municipality of Milan and OPES Lombardy, is organized by NEXT Health and Services with the support of the volunteers of Coach of Neighborhood, project of sports welfare active on the territory.
Bring the boys back to play outside, together, in the spaces of the city, making sport an opportunity to meet, report and participation. This is the spirit of “Joined by Football – Kick & Unite”, a socio-educational project promoted by Eni Foundation and realized by NEXT Health and Services S.r.l. Social Enterprise, which uses sports, and in particular street football, as a tool to involve teenagers who live situations of vulnerability, isolation or emotional fragility. At the center of the day a street football tournament, open to those who will sign up through the dedicated form. More than just a competition, the event wants to be a moment of community able to involve children, families and sports and social realities of the territory. Street football thus becomes a simple and accessible language through which to learn to be together, collaborate, respect the rules and manage emotions and relationships.
The Milanese stage aims in particular to involve local sports realities around a common message: to promote a sport for all, inclusive and accessible, also practiced in neighborhoods and urban spaces. It is a vision shared by Neighborhood Coach, which brings sports to parks as a tool for welfare and inclusion. The day of Milan is part of a broader path that includes three territorial events of street football in Milan, Rome and Bari, conceived as inclusive and participatory experiences.
The general objective is to promote psychophysical well-being and the inclusion of adolescents, promoting socialization, trust and participation and countering social distances and stigma. In addition to the events, the project also includes an online training course aimed at coaches, sports technicians and educators, dedicated to teenage discomfort, educational and inclusive value of sports and management of relationships and group dynamics. A first phase of training meetings has already ended, while a new part of the path will start in the new year.
