LECCO (ITALPRESS) – Leapmotor launches in Italy the B03X, urban crossover 100% electric segment B, presented today in Montevecchia, near Lecco. Compact and versatile, it combines city size and height from SUV, with a range of up to 382 km in the WLTP cycle. The new car has highlighted its ability to adapt naturally to different driving situations: agile and intuitive in city traffic and comfortable on extra-urban roads. The front drive ensures stability and ease of control, while the maximum speed reaches 160 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes place in 8.6 seconds. “The B03X is the last one born in Leapmotor and is a Urban Crossover, therefore a car that has all the positive characteristics of the SUVs: the height from the ground, versatility, presence on the road, but also the compact dimensions”, says Federico Scopelliti, Country Manager Leapmotor Italy.
With a length of 4.270 mm, a width of 1.810 mm, a height of 1.635 mm and a step of 2.605 mm, the model offers a balance between manoeuvrability and inhabitability while the steering diameter of only 10 meters facilitates manoeuvres and parking. In addition, the elevated driving position and balanced proportions ensure visibility and ease of access.
Passengers can benefit from 947 mm of leg space in the second row, up to 1.009 mm of height in the front area and an internal longitudinal space of 2.277 mm. The overall load capacity reaches 510 liters and includes the innovative 105-litre compartment, waterproof and washable, located under the boot floor. Abandoning the rear seats, the available volume reaches up to 1.605 litres, with a maximum load length of 2.530 mm, to which 33 compartments are added distributed in the cabin.
The on-board experience is managed by the Leap OS 4.0 Plus operating system, supported by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor, which offers a smooth and immediate interaction, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless, online navigation with real-time traffic information, route planning and over-the-air software updates. The B03X is available with two LFP battery configurations. The B03X Life version with 39.8 kWh battery combines a 130 kW (176 hp) electric motor and offers a range of up to 292 km in the WLTP cycle. The B03X Life and B03X Design versions with 53.0 kWh battery instead adopt a 145 kW (197 hp) engine and guarantee a range of up to 382 km in the WLTP cycle. Both configurations provide 200 Nm torque immediately available and support 2.5C fast charging, which allows you to switch from 30% to 80% of the battery capacity in only 16 minutes. The car has been developed by placing security at the centre: each version is equipped with a series of Level 2 driving assistance systems. An intelligent network of 14 sensors and cameras constantly monitors the surrounding environment and supports 21 ADAS functions. The technologies available include the Traffic Jam Assist, which assists the driver in intense traffic situations, and the Driver Fatigue Monitoring, which evaluates driving behaviour and reports any attention.
The B03X range is divided into two sets: LIFE and DESIGN. The first, available with both 39.8 kWh and 53.0 kWh batteries, includes automatic air conditioning, eco-leather steering wheel, LED headlights, roof bars, seven airbags, 21 ADAS functions, rain sensor, 14.6 inch central display, 8.8 inch digital instrument panel, six-driven audio system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless. The LIFE version equipped with 53.0 kWh battery also adds 18 inch alloy wheels. The DESIGN set, proposed exclusively with the 53.0 kWh battery, completes the offer with eco-leather seats, seat of the driver electrically adjustable in six directionsi, front and wheel seats, mirrors foldable electrically, front parking sensors, 360 degree camera, 12 speaker audio system and environmental lighting. “LeapMotor arrived in Italy only 2 years ago, but it immediately became known, especially thanks to the distribution network and the Stellantis dealers.
