MILAN (ITALPRESS) – The Lombardy Region Junta, on a proposal from the Councillor for the Family, Social Solidarity, Disability and Equal Opportunities, Elena Lucchini, approved the resolution that strengthens ‘#UP – Paths to grow great.’ The measure is aimed at preadolescents, teenagers and young people in condition of discomfort and their families, with a further integration of 2 million euros.
The program, launched in 2022 and refinanced in 2025, provides customised routes through the provision of vouchers. The new resources, in accordance with the FSE+ 2021-2027 Regional Programme, amount to 2 million euros and will strengthen the interventions throughout the regional territory.
“With this additional €2 million the total intervention will be 13 million. These resources represent an investment aimed at strengthening the response of the Lombardy Region to youthful discomfort, putting the boys and their families in the centre – said the Councillor Lucchini -. Adolescence is a delicate phase, in which fragility can emerge which, if intercepted promptly, can be faced with appropriate tools. #UP allows us to build custom paths, flexible and close to the needs of each guy.”.
Through vouchers, young people can access psycho-socioeducative interventions, including interviews, counselling, contrasting activities to school dispersion and accompaniment to social inclusion activities.
The goal is to offer flexible and integrated responses and foster inclusion processes. Direct recipients are pre-adolescents, teenagers and young people aged between 11 and 25 years in uncomfortable conditions and their families. “With #UP – Lucchini explained – we don’t only intervene on the boys, but we also support the parents. A situation of fragility often involves the whole family and requires listening, accompaniment and ability to read needs early. This is why we want to strengthen the integration between social and social services and their ability to take into account the situations of difficulty in time.”.
The contribution, at a loss, is paid by Regione Lombardia alle Ats, which subsequently provide the vouchers to the recipients. The supplementary resources will be allocated to the Ats taking into account the value of the vouchers booked on 15 October 2026 and the allocations already made.
“We want to give continuity to a concrete tool that allows to accompany children in times of greater difficulty and to support their families – concluded the Councillor Lucchini -. Investing on prevention and ability to early intercept fragility means strengthening social inclusion opportunities and accompanying young people on their path of growth.”.
