Maneuver, FI meets with Giorgetti “Objective stability and growth”

ROME (ITALPRESS) – A Forza Italia delegation composed of House and Senate group leaders, Paolo Barelli and Maurizio Gasparri, the head of the Departments, Alessandro Cattaneo, and the economy manager of the blue movement, Maurizio Casasco, met this morning at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economy and Finance with Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti for a discussion on the upcoming budget maneuver. In line with the assessment expressed in recent days by national secretary Antonio Tajani, Forza Italia expressed “agreement and appreciation for the approach of the economic maneuver, confirmed its attention to public accounts under the banner of a policy of responsibility that combines the stability of state budgets with the growth of our economy, while respecting the European framework.” Forza Italia’s priority, a note reads, “has always been to support economic growth with a focus on the social system. In this sense, we work for the confirmation of the cut in the tax wedge, Irpef and the detaxation of corporate benefits as well as continuing the path of increasing minimum pensions. Within the discussion, the issue of the cost of energy and the competitiveness of our companies was also addressed. We also believe it is important to continue to intervene on the reduction of Irpef with particular regard to the middle class, as well as to extend protections for women’s work to self-employed women as well. For young people, we propose to confirm support for mortgages on the first home and the start of business activity, as well as interventions on student houses in order to lower rental prices for university students. Several proposals were made regarding the evaluation of coverage between possible state efficiencies, revenues from the path of liberalization and privatization, and the taxation of web giants, a topic to be extended in the European sphere. The discussion, which began today with full agreement, satisfaction and collaboration, will continue in the parliamentary forums.”
