MARINA BAY (SINGAPORE) (ITALPRESS) – The third time is the charm for Lando Norris, who after failing to capitalize on the pole position at Monza and the bad qualifying in Baku manages to realize the potential of his McLaren by winning the Singapore Grand Prix. It was a success, his third of the season after Miami and Zandvoort, in Red Bull 2023 style, dominated with just over twenty seconds to spare over whoever Red Bull is trying to bring it back up, Max Verstappen, second and back on the podium after two races away. Third at the checkered flag was the other McLaren of Oscar Piastri, who despite finishing fifth at the start managed to put both the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, fourth and fifth respectively in Saturday’s qualifying. Fifth place finish, on the other hand, for the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc, who after the time cancelled in Q3 that forced him to start from the ninth box on the grid managed, with a mix of strategy and overtaking, to obtain a positive result considering the starting position and the layout of the track not particularly suited to comebacks. Just behind Carlos Sainz, who in his 200th race in Formula 1 does not go beyond seventh place, with a compromised qualifying for him due to the accident he had in preparation for his Q3 lap.
