MILAN (ITALPRESS) – After the warm reception of the first stop in Turin, last weekend the evocative roadshow of the New Lancia Ypsilon touched the city of Milan, where the past constantly dialogues with the future, creating a present full of stimuli and beauty. In particular, the elegant fleet of ten cars, in hybrid and electric configuration, passed through the most famous streets of the Fashion Quadrilateral, such as via Montenapoleone, which, a few days ago, won the title of “the most expensive shopping street in the world,” according to the “Main Streets Across the World” Report conducted by Cushman & Wakefield. This is the first time a European city has climbed to the top step of the podium, followed by New York, London and Hong Kong. The New Ypsilon paraded on this exclusive catwalk, shining like a jewel among the windows of the world’s most prestigious fashion houses. Gucci, Prada, Armani, Versace and many other renowned brands have their flagship stores here, symbols of the elegance and craftsmanship that have made Made in Italy famous throughout the world. Just like the new Lancia model whose design combines tradition and innovation, inspired by the fluidity of the historic Aurelia and Flaminia, with a touch of sportiness taken from the legendary Stratos and Delta. The Lancia Style Center also played on contrasts, combining pure, sensual forms with bolder elements.
Distinctive details of the New Ypsilon include a modern reinterpretation of Lancia’s goblet grille and Stratos-inspired taillights. The interior also reflects Italian elegance, with refined choices such as the coffee table and fine materials, including leather and recycled velvets with ribbed textures. “I am happy to see with what enthusiasm the Milanese public, along with the many foreign tourists who frequent it, have welcomed the New Ypsilon, a sign that our renaissance is going in the right direction, as also shown by the more than 10,000 orders for the new car collected to date. Driving through Milan allows you to see the city transform at every corner, mixing history, innovation, fashion, design and sustainability. It is a journey that therefore reveals the multifaceted face of Milan, a city that thrives on harmonious contrasts, just like the New Ypsilon in which our glorious heritage, timelessly elegant style and the most advanced innovation in terms of electrified powertrains, driving aid systems and comfort inside the cabin coexist,” says Luca Napolitano, CEO of the Lancia brand.
The engaging city tour then continued to some of the city’s most famous sites, including the streets adjacent to the Duomo, with its imposing Gothic facade, and the cobblestone streets of Brera, a neighborhood where time seems to stand still. We then moved on to Porta Nuova, a symbol of contemporary Milan and its transformation into a modern metropolis. And of course we could not miss a passage to the Navigli, dotted with cafes, clubs and restaurants immersed in a lively and picturesque atmosphere, and to the Tortona area, the center of Milanese design and an iconic place during Milan Design Week: And precisely on the occasion of the 2024 edition, held last April, an exclusive Ypsilon Edizione Cassina, born from the collaboration with one of the Italian excellences of Interior Design, was exhibited in the spaces of the BREDAQUARANTA showroom, presenting itself as an authentic design object. In short, every neighborhood in Milan tells a different story and every street offers a new discovery, making the capital one of the most fascinating cities in the world.
Lancia invites everyone to go to one of the 160 Lancia dealerships in Italy, namely the exclusive showrooms characterized by the brand’s new corporate identity, where it is possible to enjoy a premium customer experience and take exciting road tests, sampling the unparalleled handling, efficiency and performance qualities of the new Lancia model. In addition, visiting Lancia dealerships makes it possible both to learn about the entire range of the new car – declined in the Ypsilon, LX and Cassina trims, all available in electric or hybrid configurations – and to discover the unmissable financial offer that, until Nov. 30, allows you to get behind the wheel of the hybrid version right away with a monthly installment of 200 euros for 48 months, taking advantage of the state bonus in case of scrapping. Alternatively, the electric version is available at 200 euros for 36 months. At the end of the financing, the customer can choose to replace, keep or return the vehicle. After the stops in Turin and Milan, the roadshow of the new Lancia Ypsilon is ready to enliven the beautiful cities of Rome (Nov. 28-Dec. 1) and Naples (Dec. 5-Dec. 8), ensuring a unique brand experience of style, innovation and Italian pride.
