Sinner still n°1 Atp, Cobolli in top ten, Darderi out of the first 20

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Jannik Sinner still postpones his return to the field: nothing Shanghai due to the inflammation of the right knee that persecutes him from Wimbledon. The South Tyrolean champion remains for another week – 92nd – under the Atp ranking and will remain at least until Vienna when it should set foot in the circuit.

Alexander Zverev, in order to kick him already in the East, should have won both in Beijing and Shanghai but yesterday’s defeat against Djokovic has braked the German race, which in any way consolidates the second position and reduces the gap. In third place but far there is Carlos Alcaraz, who precedes Ben Shelton, while Daniil Medvedev climbs fifth place Felix Auger-Aliassime, just outside Beijing.

The Top Ten also features Flavio Cobolli, who retains the seventh position despite the elimination of his debut in the Chinese tournament. Behind him, Frances Tiafoe, who made his first entry between the top 10 in the world last week, then Alex De Minaur who took the ninth square at the expense of Arthur Fils. As for the other Italians, the eighties reached in Tokyo are not enough to Luciano Darderi to remain among the Top 20: the Argentine-Italo slips back of two places and is 21st. Stabile Lorenzo Musetti (25°), in the top 50 also Matteo Arnaldi (38°, -1) and Matteo Berrettini (46°, +1), while Mattia Bellucci gains five positions (86°) and override Loreno Sonego (87°, -4). New best ranking for Federico Cinà: the 19-year-old Palermo climbs three more places and is number 147.
