Special series for 30 years of Mercedes-Benz Sprinter

ROME (ITALPRESS) – Thirty years ago, the brand with the star launched a van that would make history: the Sprinter. The first Mercedes-Benz van with a strong identity name that revolutionized the light commercial vehicle segment in 1995 and quickly became the name for an entire class of vehicles. Then as now, it is synonymous with quality and innovation. The Sprinter has won customers around the world and has a high repurchase rate, thanks in part to its popularity among bodybuilders and conversion specialists, who continue to customize it for a wide range of uses. Seventy-five percent of all Sprinters worldwide are converted. Mercedes-Benz opens the Sprinter’s anniversary celebration with an exclusive special edition and display at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart: from the first-generation Sprinter to the current Sprinter with its battery-electric version, the eSprinter. The activations are accompanied by a marketing campaign under the motto ‘An Icon for 30 Years,’ which emphasizes the influence of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter in the segment.

For about five years it has also been available as a fully electric vehicle with zero local CO2 emissions,” says Klaus Rehkugler, head of sales and marketing at Mercedes-Benz Vans.
