Success for the first Alfa Romeo Junior Open House.

TURIN (ITALPRESS) – The first Open Doors dedicated to the Biscione’s new model, held on Sept. 21 and 22, recorded thousands of visits from customers interested in discovering, but above all road-testing, the unprecedented compact sports car that completely redefines the concept of contemporary sportiness. The absolute star of the national event was the 156-hp Junior Electric Special, which synthesizes sportiness, technology and comfort in a unique configuration, with full optional equipment and a driving experience unique in the segment. Initial comments from the public were very positive and highlighted precisely the engaging driving experience experienced on board the compact sports car, which combines attractive styling with the highest levels of connectivity and driving dynamics.Currently, the Junior range consists of the two entry-level Hybrid and Electric versions, respectively equipped with the 136-hp hybrid and 156-hp electric powertrains, and the exclusive Junior Speciale, the top-of-the-line version also equipped with a 136-hp hybrid or 156-hp full electric powertrain. It will also soon be joined by the new Junior 280 VELOCE 100% electric, the ultimate expression of sportiness in the range. The enthusiasm with which customers and the Alfa Romeo dealer network welcomed the arrival of the first units of the new Junior in Italian showrooms seals a month of growth for the global Italian brand. In fact, despite a downturn in the domestic car market, Alfa Romeo closed September with a 1.6 percent share, up 0.4 percentage points from the previous month. “We are very pleased with how the new Junior was received during its first Open Doors, although it was quite predictable after the success it enjoyed this summer with the Roadshow that collected more than a thousand orders, involved nearly 50 showrooms and about 9,000 guests with one-to-one appointments and special evenings. In addition, to the extraordinary influx of guests at our dealerships and the large number of test drives conducted, the striking TV commercial, starring international star Pedro Alonso “Berlìno,” that accompanied the weekend event certainly contributed. And we are equally convinced that the new Junior, which is making a new generation of Alfisti fall in love, will increasingly drive yet another phase of growth for the global Italian brand,” saidRaffaele Russo, Alfa Romeo’s Country Manager in Italy.
