ROMA (ITALPRESS) – After the 21 agreements signed with the autonomous regions and provinces, which have freed resources for over 45 billion, the President of the Council Giorgia Meloni signed, on proposal of the Minister for European Affairs, the Pnrr and the Policies of Cohesion Tommaso Foti, the first 7 agreements with the ministries and the central administrations.
The total amount of the investments activated is approximately 3.4 billion, of which 2 billion financed directly through resources of the Fund for Development and Cohesion 2021-2027 and 1.4 billion further cofinancing. Resources finance projects and investments in strategic sectors: from the environment to culture, from agriculture to digital innovation, from the valorisation of territories to policies dedicated to young people and people with disabilities.
“Let us take a step forward on the path undertaken by the Government to build a stronger and cohesive nation, using the best of the cohesion policy funds, a key tool to reduce territorial differences. We inaugurate a new operational phase, which allows us to free more than 3.4 billion euros for concrete interventions in favour of the territories, families and enterprises”, said the President of the Council, Giorgia Meloni.
“With the Meloni Government, cohesion policy is transformed into a concrete lever for development, innovation and inclusion at national level. Full implementation is ensured by rigorous chronoprogrammes: less bureaucracy, more results. On these directors the government will continue its commitment, monitoring every intervention to guarantee certain times, financial rigour and full realization of the investments, so that the resources dedicated to national cohesion policy really translate into benefits for the Italians,” added Minister Foti.
