VENICE (ITALPRESS) – “With this new call the Region of Veneto invests more than 15.7 million euros in the ITS Academy, a system that continues to demonstrate its effectiveness in forming the professionals of which our enterprises need and in offering young concrete opportunities for qualified work. We strongly believe in this model because it represents a direct bridge between training and productive world, able to accompany technological transformations, the digital and energy transition and to support the competitiveness of Veneto”. To declare it is the Regional Councillor for Education and Training, Valeria Mantovan, commenting on the approval of the new public notice “ITS Academy of Veneto – The Technicians of the Future” for the two years 2026-2028.
“The ITS model is now fully consolidated and represents a point of reference in the field of professional training. It is an alternative path to academic, highly qualified and built together with enterprises, which allows young people to acquire skills that are immediately available in the labour market. The results speak for themselves: a rate of employment that in Veneto is 82% higher than the national average, and thousands of young people who choose this road every year. These are numbers that confirm us to be on the right direction and which push us to continue investing with conviction on a system capable of creating employment, innovation and development.”.
The Veneto Region thus renews its strategic commitment to higher technological education, providing a total financial allocation of more than 15.7 million euros to support the new educational programming of the ITS Academy. The project aims to consolidate a system that over the years has established itself as one of the main tools for promoting youth employability and responding to the needs of business skills.
The notice, funded under the PR Veneto FSE+ 2021-2027 and the Higher Technological Education Fund, supports highly specialized training courses in the strategic sectors for the development of the regional production system, with particular attention to the challenges of the digital transition, decarbonization and the diffusion of renewable energies. “The numbers of a recent research of Veneto Labor – Mantovan emphasizes – confirm the solidity of the Venetian model. In the formative year 2025-2026 101 new two-year courses were activated, attended by more than 2,400 students and students of the first year. Summarizing the members of the second year, the ITS Academy system in Veneto today counts over 4,400 students”.
“Even on the employment front – he concludes – the results are particularly significant. According to the National Monitoring ITS INDIRE 2026, the employment rate within a year of graduation reaches almost 82% in Veneto, exceeding the national average, of 79%. This confirms the ability of the ITS Academy to effectively accompany the entry of young people into the labour market.”.
