Carabinieri and Fao, on 7 and 8 October in Rome a summit on nature and global stability

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Integrated strategies for the resilience of ecosystems, climate mitigation and health safety will be at the heart of the international conference “Nature, Climate and Global Stability”, organized by the Command Units Forest, Environmental and Agro-Food (CUFAA) of the Carabinieri Corps in collaboration with FAO. The event is scheduled in Rome on 7 and 8 October, as a preparatory summit at COP31 in Antalya.

The first day will take place at Palazzo Rospigliosi, while the second appointment is scheduled at Circo Massimo, as part of the international event “From Seeds to Food” promoted by FAO. At the heart of the work, the relationship between biodiversity and climate policy, with the aim of strengthening the integration between conservation of ecosystems, contrast to climate change and health security.

The conference is part of the collaboration between CUFAA and FAO on the issues of biodiversity conservation and sustainable natural heritage management. Among the topics covered are the One Health approach, with particular attention to the role of habitat protection and the contrast to environmental crimes in the prevention of health risks.

The work will be articulated in five sessions and a round table and will address, among other themes, urban foresting, sustainable agro-silvo-pastoral practices and the presidio of the internal areas, in relation to food safety and resilience of ecosystems.
